Caorunn is a Scottish Gin, limited production, infusion so obtained five plants typical of the Celtic tradition. Is produced at Balmenach Distillery in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. The distillery is located in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, and the hills of Cromdale, located behind the distillery, provide a source of pure water, ideal for the production of distillates.
Over the last two centuries, the art of distilling has been passed down from father to son, in fact, for the production of whiskey, it still respects the tradition.
One of the distillers, Simon Buley, being also an avid Gin, has long cultivated the idea of producing a real Gin distillery in the Scottish malt whiskey. Especially wanted to use the traditional technique of making distillates, using the source of pure water and the plants that grow in the surrounding hills. Simon, became the Gin Master, using the only "Copper Berry Chamber", a double round structure with copper and four trays, built in 1920, and under his careful supervision, Caorunn Gin is produced in small quantities in order to ensure a 'high quality.
